A recent charity golf day held at the Collingtree Park Golf Club in Northampton has raised over £2,500 for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
Last Thursday saw more than 50 players join the day from Bright Horizons and its UK supplier partners, taking part in a full round of golf, fundraising dinner, and raffle, to fund more Bright Spaces for vulnerable children and families.
The Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, Bright Horizons’ registered charity, is focused on improving the lives of vulnerable children and families experiencing crisis and disadvantage in the UK. Its Bright Spaces are enriching play environments for children impacted by domestic violence, abuse, homelessness, parental imprisonment, and ill health, and are designed to help children heal from trauma through play. The charity is due to open its 100th Bright Space in 2024.
Ahead of the day, the Foundation received over £1,000 worth of prizes from their suppliers which were raffled and auctioned off in the evening, together with a £1,000 donation towards the charity from Gompels (a care and nursery supplies specialist).
Emily Harris, Social Impact Manager for Bright Horizons said: “We truly appreciate the generosity of all who took part in and donated towards the annual Golf Day in aid of the Foundation. It was wonderful to have the support of so many of our suppliers helping us to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children in our communities.”
